Auckland, the City of Sails, is built over a narrow isthmus between the Waitemata Harbour on the Hauraki Gulf and the Manukau Harbour on the Tasman Sea. Built over the Auckland Volcanic Field, consisting of approximately 50 volcanoes, Auckland's youngest volcano is Rangitoto - a mere 600 years old. Try viewing the album full screen.
